Los Angeles Flower District - The Day Before Mother's Day

 Few places in Los Angeles are as abuzz as the Flower District the Saturday before Mother's Day. Starting at 5:30am, the place is a sea of activity with flower buyers and sellers moving around hundreds of pounds of product. The flowers come in on boats, airplanes and trucks; having been in the ground only the day before in far off places like Taiwan, Thailand and Mexico. This man here was gathering bouquets to resell in his neighborhood, cashing in on the last minute rush to get Mom a gift.
